Ara to Gozara

“Ara Ta Gozara” is the story of my joint activities along with other personal interior design projects. The description of this process is a general outline of my mentality to try to align the energy of the owners of ideas and creativity in the field of design. Designers who can implement the personal story of the people of my country in a new and modern way in their lives, according to the beauty of Iran.

I was 19 years old when the work of reviving and restoring my mother’s old cow chest started my movement towards revitalizing the surrounding environment. At that time, I had just started studying industrial design, and the passion and enthusiasm of implementing the learned knowledge, along with my innate creativity, created works that still excite me to think about. This was the beginning of my renovations and activities in the field of interior design. At first, most of my work was focused on reviving dishes, and with that, I practiced renovating houses. Whenever I saw an unused dish, I would rewrite its story by defining a new use for it.

Gradually, the support of my family made me open “Khane Asif” gallery in 1373. Asif’s house was in a clean courtyard located in Zafaranieh area of Tehran, whose atmosphere was suitable for my personal story to enliven and smooth the flow of life in the surrounding environment. The experience of setting up this house, although short and with not much income, with special clients such as the Mexican ambassador and some friends gave me hope for the future.

After handing over Asif’s house, my second experience happened. At that time, I was a student in London and I was constantly commuting. After returning from London, I started my first serious economic activity in the form of “Khane Ara” in 2013 in Qolhak district of Tehran with the cooperation of one of my university friends named “Maryam Vafaizadeh”. During this period, in addition to doing interior decoration work and doing joint projects of house renovation, I also exhibited restored dishes in this gallery. This sweet partnership ended after two years. Until around 2006, I opened my own gallery cafe in Pesian area of Tehran.

“Man Ara Sharistan” was a different and interesting experience for me. Due to my interest in Sasanian Pahlavi language, I considered this combination to be the best option for naming my gallery cafe. “Man” means house, “Ara” which comes from the word to decorate, and “Sharistan” means a place where people gather to watch and shop. I realized all my dreams of making customers feel good in this gallery cafe. Balconies full of flowers along with the balcony, special paving stones from Jajrud river and the choice of black English door with brick facade, were all aimed at smoothing the sense of life and creating freshness with a modern style in that place. Because in my mind, I always liked some kind of design for the space of the houses, so that I could preserve the beauty of the people of my land. The small courtyard with the fountain and the statues of angels was a view of the garden of my dreams and showed a kind of alignment of my soul with nature to flow love in that place. This activity continued for about 7 years.

After this period, with a long break, I was only engaged in interior design projects and reviving different parts of houses such as entrance, kitchen, guest house, patio and garden and bathroom in classic and modern styles. Projects whose related images can be seen in the sections of the site. Until 2016, I started another joint activity with two designer friends.

At this time, we started “Gazara” design department with the cooperation of Mrs. Roksaneh Abedini, clothing designer, and Mrs. Nahid Samimi, designer of sleeping sets. The root of the word Gezara comes from the middle Pahlavi language, the name of the designer. Therefore, in the new activity, I put my main goal on gathering designers in different fields so that every creative person can display the results of their activities to the public in an intimate environment. In such a way that the client can receive the various services he needs for a personalized life according to his unique style. Currently, the three main fields of interior design, clothing design and bed set design are the basis of activity, and in the future, I hope that designers who have style in different sectors such as jewelry, bags and shoes, and other owners of style and creativity can work in a unified format in the form of a store. provide special services to Iranians like famous examples like Harrods. Services that are far from the usual copycats these days in the field of design, are produced only and only for the client and according to his mood and interests. It means creating a unique work for a person in a way that cannot be found anywhere else.

This story is currently continuing its process by holding various seasonal events in order to inject the spirit of freshness and vitality into the lives of the countrymen.
